Nai’s House has been a life saver for my daughter, where other services had failed. I truly believe without this wonderful charity my daughter may not be here today. We owe them so much as a family-Thank you for all you do.

“Hello I am a 12 year old girl who has been going to Nai’s House since mid-August 2020. I have been seeing Amber mostly every week. They have helped me with my anxiety about starting secondary and assessments. They have also helped me become more confident in myself. I like coming to Nai’s House because they are always so bubbly and kind and they are always happy to see you.”

I am really grateful for help from Nai’s House and Chloe in particular. It is very important to have support from someone who went through similar struggles themselves, so they understand what my daughter is feeling and they can relate to her and that why they (Nai’s House) can help better. My daughter was able to open up and talk to Chloe, which she couldn’t do with Early Help workers, Helios, CAMHS or pastoral at school or even at A&E when she was suicidal and self harming. And now she is talking to Chloe openly and comfortably, and has started her healing process, Thank you!

We have been attending sessions for approximately 8 weeks. We have been made to feel welcome and relaxed. My daughter started off very quiet but has come out of herself since starting the sessions. She’s happy to come and comes out relaxed and happy. She wasn’t attending school but has started to go in one afternoon a week and we are progressing to more afternoons. I highly recommend Nai’s House, they have been a great help to me and my daughter.

"When I arrived at Nai’s House for the first time I was at rock bottom. I didn’t want to live anymore. I had my children to hold onto but even then I felt like I was slipping away. The whole team have been welcoming, very accommodating and I cannot thank them enough. Without Shirin I’m not sure if I could have fought the battles that I have. She has endlessly supported me through everything. I have never felt I could open up before and I don’t trust lightly. The connection I made with Shirin has just been amazing and I’ve progressed through things I never thought I could. They have made so many adaptions for me. I don’t know where I’d be without Shirin I really don’t. She has been my rock and she has never ever given up on me, and has made me see with the right support and guidance I can be safe and happy. She is the most wonderful human being she really is. I’ve been under many mental health services before and I didn’t feel trust or the confidence to talk to them or open up. I felt accepted from day one and without Nai’s House I question where I’d be right now. I am forever grateful to the whole team at Nai’s House and especially Shirin."

“When I started going to Nai’s House I was very shy and didn’t really speak. Gem and the team have really been amazing, I have come on leaps and bounds because of everyone at Nai’s House not giving up on me and helping me work through my past and the trauma that I have experienced. As a service they are helping me look forward to a better future. I feel a weight has been lifted. Nai’s House has also helped me and my partner's relationship and understand that it's not just the individual that struggles, and that it can also affect the people they live with too. They have also helped him by giving him guidance and support when needed. As a guest at Nai’s House I never feel like a name that’s been filed away. I have support 24/7.”

Unfortunately my son took his own life in July 2022. I did not know where to turn too and begged Nai’s House for support. We have had group meetings at Nai’s House, for me and my family which has given us much support. When I have needed support I can ring and someone is there to listen. Nai’s House has given me hope for the future and to know it's ok not to be ok and express negative feelings.

As an external educator I’m only there for a couple of hours a week and this has only been for a few months. Despite this, I feel as though I have been working with them for years. The team have a wealth of knowledge and experience that enables them to deliver outstanding support. What makes Nai’s House so effective, alongside this, is the passion and commitment that the team shows towards those they support; whether its advocating for the needs of their people or working to increase the scope of their outreach, Nai’s House are unrelenting in their work.
